BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
The Business Management program, with concentrations in Audio Recording Technology and Music Business, is designed for students planning to pursue careers as business/marketing executives in record and music production, radio, television, theatre, and communications. The program is intended for students who are interested in developing their business and technical experience.
Program Objective
The Business Management program at Five Towns College is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in business that includes the ability to communicate and work collaboratively with others, analyze and solve problems effectively, and prepare students for personal and social responsibilities in the business community or so that they can continue their studies following graduation.
The Business Division offers three Business Management degrees including the four-year Bachelor of Professional Studies (B.P.S.) degree in Business Management with concentrations in Audio Recording Technology and Music Business.
The B.P.S. degree requires the completion of 122 credits and includes Business, Liberal Arts, specific Concentrations, and elective courses.
The Associate in Science (A.S.) in Business Administration and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Business Management with concentrations in Audio Recording Technology, and Music Business are two year programs requiring successful completion of 62 credits.
Students in the Associate Science program and those graduating with an A.S. degree usually plan to continue their studies toward a four-year baccalaureate degree or assume managerial and administrative roles in the marketplace.
